A little about me...

Where to start? Right now, I'm rounding up my dissertation - a 45 page screenplay exploring the ways in which we can make medieval fantasy a more welcoming place from a very practical standpoint. It's a project I'm indescribably excited about, and as I tie up it's loose threads I'm looking onwards to it's future and investigating the best ways to take it beyond my degree.

Alongside this, I'm working with a team of actors and writers to produce a play inspired by Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'. 'Strigoi' follows Count Dracula's stumbling navigation through London's high society of the 1890s and will be performed in late May. Using Upwork, I work as a freelance script consultant, editing and giving valuable feedback to help my clients produce the best version of their screenplays. I also provide this service for free to film students at my university, as I believe in supporting the work of fellow artists building their portfolio. To find out more about the feature-length films I've had the pleasure of script-consulting, please see @dogs_breakfast_film and @end_of_everything_film on Instagram.

Current Projects

I'm moments away from handing in my biggest piece yet, 45 pages of medieval-fantasy script and 3000 words of critical reflection essay. 'The Witch and The Princess' is the pilot episode of a television series centered upon Cressida and Adeline, a witch and a princess, caught in a love affair on opposite sides of a revolution.

It's inspired by Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien and The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. I've always been an advocate for getting more diversity, particularly in terms of gender and sexuality, into TV and fantasy, and the best way to see things done is always to do them yourself. 'The Witch and The Princess' has been over a year in the making and I've been solidifying my research and editing skills alongside my writing.
